Eastablished in 1884, the building served itself as a nest to Reichstag, the first parliament of Germany. In 1933, the building was set on fire by a Dutch communist, Marinus Van der Lubbe, who later on beheaded for the crime. (funfact: it's known that Hitler ordered the fire, which was to be a signal of beginning of the Nazi regime to the senior and other members)
In 1999, Reichstag Dom, designed by Architect Norman Foster, opened its door to public, offering 360 degree view of Berlin.
The queue was really long (35-40min), the security is really tight (airport security system), they treat you like a herd of cows(manually operated glass doors), and got my butt pinched/massaged by a security personnel for absolutely no reason, BUT the place is so amazing, I foggot all about it by the time I was in the Dom.
