Piazza del St. Piederto, Rome :: First day

I settled myself in nearby Vatican City, which is only 3 blocks away, and began my first day in Rome. There are so many buildlings and remains that I did not know where to rest my eyes. After a bit of wandering, I found myself in Piazza del St. Pierderto, which is the biggest church I've got to see...I was too scared to go in just yet, so I've decided to skim around.
