Namsan, Seoul :: N Tower

I was up on this mountain in the middle of Seoul called, Namsan, meaning a mountain in the north, via a cable car. We were all packed up like sardines, but got to see quite a fantastic panoramic view of the city.

Namdaemoon, Seoul :: Oh lordy...

'Tis the season for greetings and honesty... So they say. It is Christmas eve and stores are still running hard to make that final sprint. It seems like this year's Christmas has been rather quieter than the ones before, and hopefully ones to come.

I hope everyone's spending a quality time with their own version of loved ones, thinking about good things...like hope or love.
Anyboo-boo,Merry Christmas people!!

Insadong, Seoul :: Pretty lantern

Pretty indeed.

Insadong, Seoul :: Topo Haus II

Same artist's work.. I really like the different shades of blue.

Attached below is the artist's blog. I put it thru bable fish, so the translated page should show. If translation doesn't work, then just click on the images on his website to see his work.

Insadong, Seoul :: Topo Haus

We trolled into another ceramic art gallery by an artist, Seyong Lee. In his statement, he spoke about how things are changing at this moment and how people are in the very middle of this condition; feminity in men and the opposite in women, analog vs digital, money and economic crisis...etc. And he's trying to sort of show that thru color and material he uses. And I find him quite comical as well.

Insadong, Seoul :: Gallery Nanoom

Nanoom means 'to share', and it was a nice lil' ceramic art gallery. I initially went into the place since they had a sign that read 'No children under 13 allowed' and of course, I went in. Hah-! But what rewarded my dirty mind was a collection of traditional ceramic art. An artist was having his solo, so I immediately took out my camera, but got some shit from the lady watch-dog.
So this is all I can offer from this place.

Insadong, Seoul :: Out during the day

I finally went out during the day today. My mom and I walked around this area called
Insadong, which is famous for having loads of traditional Korean art shops and selling kitschy objects. We hit up some galleries and shops, and ended up walking around for 6 hours. It did me good. Oh joy.

More pics to follow...

Jungreung, Seoul :: A morning hike

I went on a hike along the path behind my house. On the top of the mountain, a place called "Palgak-Jung", which means an octagonal temple. It was a bit foggy morning but it was nice to be so high up in the air.

Myungdong, Seoul :: A display window

Iz the bear coming in or going out?

Hyehwa-ro, Seoul :: First snow!

After blowing off an interview for a job and falling asleep, I felt pretty raunchy, so decided to post one to feel better. I've been doing a lot of work on my portfolio (this time for real), prolonging my everlasting jetlag. I fell asleep at 3pm again for the 5th day in a row!

Anypoo- enjoy the view from my balcony of the snow and Seoul. Kinda blurry but it's niiiice.

Street somewhere, Paris :: Double visions

bread + bread

aaaahahahahha, they sell boobies on the street.

In a club, Paris :: Message in Pink

Quai Branly, Paris :: EU, Represent!

For some reason, Eiffel Tower is bustin' blue all over the place. I'm not so sure if they are celebrating some kind of anniversary, but it was a total burning EU blue with them stars. YAY- Finished with tourisme de Paris.

Avenue de New York, Paris :: A tourist

After Louvre, I was tired as shit but dragged my heine over to see the Eiffel Tower. I just walked around, not really knowing where I was going, and it was the best.

Pretty sparkling tower!

Avenue des Champ-Elyeese, Paris :: One mo' time

Awww- so pretty. But didn't really want to get on it, though.

Place du Carrousel, Paris :: Pretty sights

On my way over to Avenue des Champs-Elyeeses, I got to see some French-y rides.

Louvre Museum, Paris :: Last room

Yaaaaaaaay- I really liked the room. Gold, gold, gold, patterns, patterns, patterns.

Louvre Museum, Paris :: Bunny (love)hater

I saw the bunny first then the whole painting... Why bunnit?

Louvre Museum, Paris :: Ceilings!

Purdy ceilings..

Louvre Museum, Paris :: She's knows

After 3-1/2 hours of walking around and taking things in, I got super tired. I envied this woman's wise choice in taking the seat-cane to the place.

Want(-ed)

Louvre Museum, Paris :: Jacques-Louise David

This painting is known as 'Intervention of Sabines Women' and the painting sufficiently describes all the stories behind it.

Pissed off babies

Lovre Museum, Paris :: Mona Lisa

For those who aren't interested in viewing the art work for yourselves, they have a sign all throughout the museum that reads "Mona Lisa". I didn't know what the fuss of all the people in the room was about, only to realize that 'Mona' was in the room.
No matte which corner I was in, in front of the painting, you feel like she's watching you. There were protections in front of protections... totally ridic. But my sister tipped me off that the displayed painting is a fake one and the real one is in the basement, stored away from the sunlight.

That big wall just for one painting.

Is she looking?

The best I could do...

Louvre Museum, Paris :: Ceiling wow-wow

This is only the first of ceiling-thon to come. It screams oppulence, power, patter, sunligh, and yet God-fearing religious mentality of back then. Yes?

Louvre Museum, Paris :: 5 Masters

I like the layout of these 5 folks.

Cinq Maitres de la Renaissance Florentine By Francesco Botticini

Louvre Museum, BCN :: Gallery di Apullon

Once I entered the Louvre museum, I began to navigate thru the crowd and bumped into Gallery di Apullon.

I'm a big fan of old movies and realized that this was one of the photo shoot background of the movie Funny Face, which Audrey Hepburn acts as a bookworm-ugly chick turned model. I went coo-coo internally, since I didn't really know anyone at the moment to gush about it.

!!Look!!

Rue de Rivoli, Paris :: Louvre Museum

Located on the right bank of Seine, Louvre museum embodies 35,000 objects from 6th millennium BC to the 19th century, proving itself to be one of the world's most visited landmarks. Palais de Louvre was built in 12th century under Phillip II, and now serves itself for the museum entirely, after many extension process.

It took me about 4 hours to finish touring the museum, and I have to say, the museum gave me that secret push to work more and do more. It was a-maaaazing. More pictures from here on in detail.
