Gachun, Kyungido :: MOCA

I found this cool be-hind sculpture at MOCA. I was too busy taking this photo on the DL only to bounce immediately afterward, I didn't have time to catch the artist info. But Helena told me that it's from few decades ago(!) and also that the artist is a Korean dude. More info will follow as soon as I receive them.

Gachun, Kyungido :: MOCA

I went to the Museum of Contemporary Art, located in the outskirts of Seoul. It took about good half an hour to forty minutes, but definitely worth the trip, since it allowed me to escape the business of the city.

View of an amusement park nearby

Sculpture on the front garden

Jungreung, Seoul :: Donkey Kong Master

I've been playing Super Nintendo games for quite a while, especially of Donkey Kong 3. My sister and I finally finished the whole game, which never happened to me before!

Pride seeped thru my vain mind like pH on a litmus paper...I actually did something!

Toilette, Muju :: A notice

I totally forgot to put this up.
I was in a restroom in the Silkworm museum and I couldn't stop laughing about the note that was put up on the door.

Do not put TP in the bowl
Shit will happen!!!
If you do, the bowl turns into a fountain :)

Seoul :: Wall-E in Korean

Jungreung, Seoul :: Karate chopped

I've been making lots of cookies as of late, since I'm indeed jobless and now a official kimchirella of the house. I decided to make some fatty cookies since I've been only making 'em with lots of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit. As I was searching for not-so-healthy items in the fridge, I came upon these x-mas left over gift thingy of snowman marshmallow.

And as you can imagine, the rest is history.

Jungreung, Seoul :: My best friend

Actually my second bestie after my laptop.

I think it can read my mind...

Jungreung, Seoul :: Mini red

I saw world's tiniest fire hydrant. (or at least I think...)

Sungshin St., Seoul :: High heels

Blurrrg....
This woman had a pair of platform heels that was like 8 inches tall!!!

Muju :: Silkworm Museum II

After being hatched from the egg, silkworms eat form 3 days straight, sleep a night, then eat 2 days straight, sleep another night, then eat 3 more days to sleep two more days, during their larva state. Then they begin to produce silk internally, which people harvest.

I wish I could eat 3 days and sleep for a day over and over only to produce beautiful silk... am I being too ___________?

The first thing you see when you enter the museum...uh....mmmm

Bug-eyed roof treatment

Mt. Dugyou, Muju :: Houses on Top

I'm not quite sure who thought of building these guys on top of this mountain, but someone from long time ago, actually did. And they are beautiful.
It's pretty obvious that the deck was recently added, due to its style, but the big ole' temple is awesome and beautiful.

The front building is clearly a new addition

So is the chimney lookin guy

Mt. Dugyou, Muju :: Women on top

Once you are on top of Mt. Dugyou, you are 1300 meters above the sea level. Thirteen hundred meters!! That's pretty up high in the air, I have to say. Surrounding the mountain are 10,000 other peaks, and hence the view below...

It was one of the most amazing thing I saw since I got back home.

Seoul Station, Seoul :: Good Morning Tour

There are various tour companies in Seoul, and one that is favored by my mom and my youngest sister is this tour called "Good Morning Tour". You either make a reservation or just show up at the meeting point at Seoul station by 7:30 am and return to Seoul by 9:30 pm. It costs 15,000 won, equivalent to 12 us dollars, which is very cheap for what you get. It is a day tour, however, covers the transportation, 3 meals throughout the day, and entry fees to wherever the itinerary includes.
So my mom, my sister, Helena and I decided to do one of these, that included a natural spring spa down in the South. The itinerary was as Mt. Dugyou (ahahah)-Ginseng Company-Silkworm Museum-Natural hot spring-Seoul Station. It was kind of exhausting but really awesome.
