Reichstag Building, Berlin :: Sightseeing II
We couldn't resist such lovely&sunny weather, that has been rather sparse these days... so we continued on Lindenstraße, heading toward to Tiergarten, where Obama made his Berlin speech. On the way, Reichstag caught our attention, so we headed in.
Eastablished in 1884, the building served itself as a nest to Reichstag, the first parliament of Germany. In 1933, the building was set on fire by a Dutch communist, Marinus Van der Lubbe, who later on beheaded for the crime. (funfact: it's known that Hitler ordered the fire, which was to be a signal of beginning of the Nazi regime to the senior and other members)
In 1999, Reichstag Dom, designed by Architect Norman Foster, opened its door to public, offering 360 degree view of Berlin.
The queue was really long (35-40min), the security is really tight (airport security system), they treat you like a herd of cows(manually operated glass doors), and got my butt pinched/massaged by a security personnel for absolutely no reason, BUT the place is so amazing, I foggot all about it by the time I was in the Dom.

Unter den Lindenstraße, Berlin :: Sightseeing I
Robbie and I decided to have a sightseeing sesh, and I have to say, it was fun! We walked all the way to the west side of Berlin on Unter den Lindenstraße, and it's THE walk to do. We got to see History Museum of Berlin, Opera house, which includes a huuuuge square which holds occasional public concerts, Humboltd University, Staatsbin Library, where you can still see bullet holes on bricks and facades and much more.

Unter der Lindenstraße, heading west

Kollowitz Museum ( if I remember correctly..hah)

Renovation process going on EVERYWHERE!

Humboltd University, Einstein studiede here. Prestigeous school, indeed.

Staatsbin Library with history on its face with bullet marks

Mauer Park, Berlin :: Flee market
Holyshitballz. I went on to the Sunday flee market today, just to wander around.. and my heart raced its way over to the finishing line when my eyes scored a vendor with funkaay yarn/elastic band by meters.. AND the best part was that they had the exact same material I used to crochet in Brooklyn.
Lookeeee, Moniac! (p.s.: I was wearing that grey dress for the first time today since I left!)
